The Making of the Advent Wreath
It’s going to be a busy Christmas season for the youth this end of the year. Not only are we doing some activities in our own group, but we were tasked by no other than our Parish Priest to do all the church decorations the ENTIRE HOLIDAY SEASON!!!
Spell PRESSURE!
Anyway, we had no choice. There’s no room for disobedience after all. So we laid out our plans for the whole season and our first challenge was…
The Advent Wreath.
Since he had the most resources, Sinta volunteered to do the framework (or tap someone who knew how to do it) and shop for other materials.
The framework…

We had help from the Brods (Adik and Rea) who we bumped into while we were shopping for the materials. Kuya Yong and Badeth were there too.

Now the day that we made this wreath, was also the day that we (Sinta and I) celebrated our anniversary.
[There wasn’t anything fancy on the day though. In fact, we don’t do fancy anymore. BOHOOORING. Hahah.]
Now there’s one difficult thing to do in making the wreath, if anyone is asking: it is to keep up with the Law. Now I am no canon lawyer here and that’s why there’s Joshua whom you can count on.
Should be all green. Preferably fresh. No flowers. No lights. Boy was it so painful to do! We want COLORS and lots of FLOWERS and LIGHTS and all those beautiful things!
BUT WE HAD TO ABIDE JOSHUA’s LAW. Ooopss. I mean the Canon Law. Heck, I don’t even know what it says about the wreath! Hahah.

Anyway, we made sure to compromise. We followed the all-green thing but we placed some accents on the side. See? Compromise. Heheh.

In the end, Joshua was happy and so are we! (or so we thought…:-p)

The day before the 1st Advent Sunday was very controversial (but I won’t go into details). Right Langlangs??? Hahah. Anyway, the important thing is everything was resolved and we still get TO ADD some stuffs to the wreath next week because we got Father Boy’s back! Woohoo!
Advance Merry Christmas everyone!
:-D
